Notes:

Watercolourist, who painted landscapes of Kirkcudright.  Born in Berlin where his father was a Church of Scotland Minister.  Official artist on the King of Belgium's expedition in search of Tsetse fly and King of Sweden's expedition in Gobi Desert.  Alastair Dallas Memorial Exhibition, Harbour Cottage Gallery, Kirkcudbright included Cumstoun Bridge, Banks Farm, Kirkcudbright; Rockcliffe; Greyfriars Church, Dumfries.
