Dorothy Rey was a niece of Jessie M King. Dorothy’s mother was Eva, Jessie’s eldest sister. Prolific painter in latter years in all mediums. Writer and illustrator of children’s stories. Remembered for her care of injured birds. Her Threave Castle exhibited at Harbour Gallery, Kirkcudbright jubilee, 1982. Dorothy was the first wife of the sculptor Loris Rey.
