      Writing Course with Author John Dean 10 week block.  19th July - 20th September  The course will examine ways in which prose writers, be it those creating short stories or novels, can engage the reader through the creation of intriguing characters and the use of surprise as one of their writing tools. Kirkcudbright Galleries is looking forward to welcoming artist Jennie Ashmore into the Galleries who will be delivering this summer session with us.  The workshop will provide participants with the basic techniques of collecting, pressing and creating with pressed leaves and flowers.
