Timmy Mallet, In his Father’s Footsteps exhibition
15th December 2018 @ 10:00 am - 13th January 2019 @ 3:30 pmFree
Following Timmy’s successful talks at the gallery in November 2018, we have on display, a selection of original works by Timmy and his father Rev. Michael Mallet. Works include Timmy and Michael’s paintings of the Skyreburn bridge.
Brief: Well known as an entertainer and broadcaster, Timmy is an accomplished fine artist whose work in oils and acrylics is eagerly collected.
Familiar as the itsy bitsy man with the Mallet, Timmy hosted Wacaday and the Wide-Awake Club on TVam with Mallett’s Mallet. Timmy is also known from his chart-topping days with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, and has appeared on such shows as I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. His love of art and history has been constant throughout his TV and entertainment career.
Timmy’s love of the seasons and the impressionists have been a big influence on his work and his paintings can be seen in galleries across the Country. Encouraged and influenced by his dad, Michael, Timmy has been looking for ways to expand his artistic style.
Timmy’s work is complemented by original artworks by his dad Michael Mallett, from war time cartoons and advertisements to tranquil landscapes of the UK.
